The BBC encourages consumers to CALL FIRST OR
INVESTIGATE BEFORE YOU INVEST your hard- earned money. We provide
a telephone enquiry service to the consumer so that you may
evaluate the reliability of participating business. We provide
consumer education to help you make intelligent choices.
The Complaint Processing Service protects the
consumer and participating businesses from unethical business
practices. After all attempts have been made by both parties and
upon receipt of a signed complaint, the BBC will initiate
immediate action in an attempt to resolve the problem. In the
event that an amicable settlement is not reached promptly, the
service of the Arbitration Board will be offered.
How will your Business Benefit?
When consumers call and ask for a referral in a
particular business category, Chamber/Better Business Council
members will be referred.
- The BBC will encourage consumers
to trade with businesses displaying the Chamber/BBC logo and
will periodically publish the names of participating members in
various Chamber publications.
- The BBC will, in all of its
activities, be non-partisan and will attempt to provide
thoughtful, honest and reasonable arbitration on behalf of the
business as well as the consumer.
- The Chamber provides a
distinctive decal to be prominently displayed in stores or
office windows and the authority to use the Chamber/BBC’s logo
in advertising, offering visible evidence of your support and
participation in the BBC.
