Taxicabs are located in abundance right at the airport and at all major hotels. Many are minivans, which can conveniently accommodate a large group or a couple with loads of diving gear. There is a clearly marked stand once you exit the customs area at Owen Roberts International Airport.
By far the most convenient and easy method of land transportation is car rental. Many automobile rental agencies are located right at the airport, and most have pick up and drop off service to any hotel on the island. The cost can be quite economical in comparison to daily taxi fare, and what could be more fun than driving a Jeep with the top down on a beautiful Caribbean day?
Local bus service is available that services the main routes through George Town, up West Bay Road (Seven Mile Beach area), and into West Bay. They are, for the most part, white mini-vans with a coloured circle sticker on their back and front, indicating their route. You will find clearly marked bus stops along most major roads.
