Industry Associations Meet to Discuss Areas of Common Interest

Representatives from nine industry associations gathered at the Grand Old House on Thursday, 24th June to discuss ways to improve collaboration particularly on issues that impact all industry sectors. Association attending the lunch meeting included the Chamber of Commerce, Cayman Islands Tourism Association, Cayman Islands Bankers Association, Fund Administrators Association, Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association, Legal Practitioners Asssociation, Cayman Contractors Association, Cayman Association of Architects, Surveyors and Engineers and the Cayman Institute of Professional Accountants. Some of the topics included reopening the borders to stayover visitors, pension and health insurance reform, the cost of living, labour and supply challenges and the upcoming Chamber Legislative Luncheon on July 8th. Chamber President Mike Gibbs chaired the meeting. The group agreed to meet quarterly.
