Appleby Expands Corporate Practice with Four New Female Hires
Appleby Cayman Islands is pleased to announce the addition of four new hires to the firm’s Corporate Practice Group; Sheila Crosby, Miriam Smyth, Candace Freeman and Kari Larkin. Sheila Crosby joins the team as a Partner* in the Investment Funds department. Sheila has 10 years of experience in the Cayman Funds space and joins from the funds & investment management group of another international large firm on island. Commenting on her appointment, Sheila said “I am extremely excited to be working with the Investment Funds team at Appleby and look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the firm.”
Miriam Smyth, who joined as a Senior Associate in the Regulatory & Compliance team commented, “ I am delighted to join the regulatory team at Appleby as we work to ensure that we deliver the highest level of service to clients both in the Cayman Islands and internationally.”s
Caymanian-born Associate Candace Freeman, who also joined the Corporate team earlier this summer, commented “I am thoroughly enjoying being a part of the Appleby team and having the opportunity to work with an excellent group of industry leaders and professionals whom I respect very much.”
These women, alongside Kari Larkin who recently joined the practice as a Paralegal, are a testament to Appleby’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce and will join a team of strong female leadership.
