Council holds meetings with Minister of Commerce and Caucus

Advocacy is a main reason why businesses of all sizes join the Chamber. The Council takes advocacy seriously by issuing members surveys and interacting with the various industry associations to gain a better understanding of the issues that are impacting businesses. Members are also encouraged to contact any member of the Council and/or the CEO to arrange a meeting and to submit issues of concern or business trends.

The Council held its quarterly meeting with the Minister of Financial Services and Commerce and Minister of Investment, Innovation and Social Development on Friday, May 27th. The Council updated the Minister on the Chamber’s short- and long-term advocacy agenda and proposed several partnership opportunities for collaboration. The Council was also scheduled to meet with the Government Caucus members on Monday, 30th May. It is the first meeting with Caucus since the new Council was elected in February.
