COVID-19 Update 30 September 2021 AM and PM

PM Update

As of 3PM Thursday, 30 September, the Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Hazel Brown, reports that there have been no further updates since the last report was issued this morning. 

At that time there were 5 total positives. Two were travellers and three were related to the cases at the schools.

There have been 106,882 Covid-19 vaccinations given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 55,174 (78% of 71,106) have had at least one dose of a COVID19 vaccine and 51,645 (73%) have completed the two dose course.

AM Updated

As of 8AM Thursday, 30 September, the Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Hazel Brown, reports that 1’062 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported yesterday, 29 September 2021.

There were five positive test results in total. Two positives are travellers on exit from quarantine. Three are related to the schools. Prospect Primary School has one additional child from the same Year 6 group as those initially screened. George Town Primary has one parent of a previous case, and one additional child from Year 6 class who tested positive at exit from quarantine.
