Hon. Kenneth Bryan, Minister of Tourism and Ports

Hon. Kenneth Vernon Bryan was first elected to the Legislative Assembly (now Parliament) in 2017, when he ran as an independent candidate in George Town Central and has proudly represented that constituency since then.

In September 2022, Minister Bryan assumed the Chairmanship of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) Council of Ministers and Commissioners of Tourism, for the period 2022-2024. He is also a member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and Cayman Islands Youth Parliament Committee.

Prior to being an elected representative, Mr. Bryan was formerly the Political Assistant to the Premier of the Cayman Islands from 2013-2015. He is also well known for his time as reporter with the local television station, Cayman 27, and is the founder of the 2013 “Grasp Your Future” voting registration drive which focused on getting young people registered to vote.

Minister Bryan has a degree in Business Administration from the University College of the Cayman Islands. He is also certified as a Backpack Journalist by the Poynter Institute of Media in Tampa and has experience as a civil servant, having entered the workforce at a young age as a Fire Officer in 1997.

Brandon Caruana, Co-Founder and CEO of Tenet Bank and Cartan Group

Brandon Caruana has been deeply involved in the evolving landscape where finance meets technology for 20 years. With roles as the co-founder and CEO of Tenet Bank and Cartan Group, he brings a wealth of expertise to both ventures.

Tenet is rooted in understanding the unique needs of the tech ecosystem, ensuring it benefits from a financial partner that not only understands but also fully supports their pioneering initiatives; while Cartan Group has solidified a position as a trusted name in the web3 domain, offering unparalleled insights and cutting-edge solutions.

Additionally, Brandon is committed to community development and education as a co-founder and board member of Code(Cayman), a non-profit organisation with a mission to deliver technology-focused skills training in the Cayman Islands, fostering a vibrant tech community.

Brandon’s career reflects a series of significant achievements in both finance and technology. His collaborative approach has not only propelled his companies but has also contributed substantially to nurturing Cayman as an innovation island.

Charlie Kirkconnell, CEO, Cayman Enterprise City

Charlie Kirkconnell assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) in January 2013 following a comprehensive reorganisation and relaunch — which led to the transformation of Cayman’s special economic zones into a thriving, award-winning business hub, one that has helped hundreds of international businesses establish a genuine physical presence in Cayman. Building CEC from the ground up has been both challenging and exciting for Charlie. Leveraging his experience as a director of several local companies, as an attorney at one of Cayman’s leading law firms, and his 8 years on the government-appointed Business Staffing Plan Board has allowed Charlie to see business from a variety of angles and turn challenges into successes for both CEC and the Cayman Islands as a whole.
