Leadership Cayman – Wheels For Meals

The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Leadership Cayman (LC) class of 2023 is hosting a fundraising event ‘Wheels for Meals’ at Vital Spinbar & Yogaden in Grand Harbour on Saturday, June 24 from 9am to 2pm. All proceeds from this fun-filled fundraiser will go to the charity Meals on Wheels (MOW) with the lofty target of raising$50,000 and making an even bigger impact on our Cayman community. This fundraising target will allow MOW to deliver over 7,000 meals.
Gather your team of up to 5 people and participate in a fun-filled event in Grand Harbour. Each team member participates in one of the five 1-hour back-to-back spinning, yoga, spin/yoga (hybrid), or kids Zumba classes. The event is suitable for all fitness levels. Each team is asked to raise or donate a minimum of CI$2,500 as that is the cost for MOW to provide meals to the community for one day.

Event Day Schedule
8:30 AM – 9:00 AM | Registration | At least one member from your team should arrive during registration to get pumped up and ready for the first class!
9:00 AM – 9:45 AM | Spin and Sweat with Lynn | Designed for all fitness levels to raise your heart rate and break a sweat for a healthier, stronger you! Spin to the beat by combing high intensity cycling through hills and sprints, while also toning your upper body, glutes, and core. No arm weight tracks, no stats, no competition, it’s just you and your resistance wheel (turn it however you’d like).
9:00 AM – 9:45 AM | Zumba Kids with Samantha | Offered for any kids ages 4-11 years young whose parents are participating in the Wheels for Meals event! This is a dance party fitness class with age-appropriate music and dance moves. Kids will improve their endurance, balance, and body coordination through this high energy class! From an early age, incorporating fitness as a natural part of children’s lives helps develop a healthy lifestyle. We will break down steps, add games, activities, and cultural exploration elements into the class structure.
10:00 AM – 10:45 AM | Performance Ride with Emiley | Designed for all ages and fitness levels, these rides mimic being on a road bike and are highly effective to help you build cardiovascular strength and endurance. Track your achievements in class as we use the computers to track RPM, distance traveled and maintaining a certain heart rate for lengths of time. Let the music take you on an amazing ride as you pedal along to various speeds and intensities – its all in the legs and core for this class.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Hybrid Flow with Emiley & Lauren | Begin in the Spinbar and end in the Yogaden! 30 minutes of Spin for cardio to heat the body followed by 30 minutes of Vinyasa Flow to utilize that heat in a yoga flow! Get the best of both worlds in this class as we tap into the mind and body.
12:00 PM – 12:45 PM | Spin + Weights with Sam | Spin to the beat of the music! This full body workout will have you exploring different moves on the bike to the beat of the music with arm weight tracks thrown in! Designed for all ages and fitness levels, these rides are highly effective to help you build cardiovascular strength and endurance in a full body workout.
1:00 PM – 1:45 PM | Rhythm Ride with Lisa | Think dance party on the bike! We will start off with a warmup, making our way through climbs and sprints along with arm choreography thrown in! Feel that cardio push and end with a warm-down and stretch. This class will take you on a ride feeling the energy, endurance, and power you have within! We encourage you to leave all of life’s stressors behind when you step onto the bike and turn inward, this is your time!
