Property Law & Strata 101 – 12 May 2022
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is part of the Chamber Training Centre (CTC) Legal Assist category.
HSM’s property and debt solution lawyers will cover the foundations required to run a successful and law-abiding strata. The course will review the key aspects of the Strata Titles Registration Law & Bye-Laws, the obligations placed upon both Strata and Proprietor and the rights and remedies available to the Strata in the event of a breach.

Linda DaCosta and Sarah Allison
Linda DaCosta is a Partner at HSM. She manages HSM’s property team in supporting residential and commercial property sales, financing, contracts and disputes. Linda also has a wealth of experience in regulatory matters, employment law, contractual disputes, family law, will and probate matters and trust disputes. Linda joined HSM in February 2018 and has been practicing in the Cayman Islands for over 20 years. She has extensive litigation experience having appeared before the Planning Tribunal, Labour Tribunal, Appeals Labour Tribunal, Summary Court, Grand Court and Court of Appeal on various aspects of the Law.
Sarah Allison is a Partner at HSM. She manages HSM’s Debt Solutions and Recovery team and is a member of their Insolvency team. Sarah handles a variety of matters including acting for numerous banks, strata corporations and other leading businesses. Sarah joined HSM in 2015 as an experienced advocate having practiced in the United Kingdom for several years with a background in civil litigation matters.
