Stars over Seven Mile Beach

Join the Cayman Islands Astronomical Society for an evening of stargazing from 7PM on Thursday the 13th of May. It will be at Seven Mile Public Beach on the grassy area near the playground.
The planets Mercury, Venus and Mars as well as the thin crescent Moon will be gloriously visible just after sunset. Also you’ll explore the Orion constellation with it’s fascinating stellar nursery where stars are being formed.
As a special treat, you should see space station fly over the Cayman Islands at 7:30.
As always, all are welcome and the event is totally free!
The event will be cancelled if there is more than 50% cloud cover
