Kirk office celebrated their 30th anniversary in fine style with a spectacular Business After Hours on Wednesday, 28 June. That’s three decades of providing top-notch equipment and service, keeping Cayman’s businesses running smoothly so that they can keep their own customers happy. Around 200 people came to the event and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a raffle with many lovely prizes and giveaways, plus guided tours of the spacious premises at 67 North Sound Way.
Like all Business After Hours events, the first thing on the agenda is always catching up with friends and colleagues both inside your company and outside. One of the best things the Chamber does is help businesses people network and establish good, sound relationships.
Kirk Office is a ‘one -stop shop’ for all office equipment and supplies, computers and even IT solutions, plus more fun things like art supplies for the young-and-creative at heart. Kirk Office isn’t just about businesses efficiency – they believe in giving back to the whole community – and attendees learned a little more about that side of the business as the evening unfolded.
Chamber President-Elect Joanne Lawson introduced Kirk Office Managing Director and Geoffrey Cuff, praising the company not only for its three decades of dedicated service to local businesses, but the way it consistently gives back to the community, naming its ‘Give back to schools’ initiative along with its consistent support for many local charities and good causes. Their vision for sustainability embraced many recycling projects, participation in beach cleanups and the introduction of a fleet of zero-emission electric delivery vehicles.
Mr. Cuff thanked all the people who had made Kirk Office’s journey so successful, their customers first of all. He outlined ways that the company had listened to them, continually making their service better with innovations like a webstore for online browsing and ordering to meet their needs. He thanked their suppliers, with whom they have established strong relationships: “Representatives have joined us this evening from as far away as Brazil. One is Diego Imperio, president and CEO of Ricoh Latin America, and another is Chris Mullen who is Managing Director of HNI international which is our premier furniture line,” he said.
Mr. Cuff thanked his dedicated and knowledgeable staff, who Kirk Office seeks to continually train and develop, his team of forward-thinking managers. and finally his Board of Directors: “We are very pleased that we have a group of Directors who are knowledgeable and experienced and who have taken a real interest in our company,” Mr. Cuff said, as, introducing a sadder note, he recognised the contribution made by Captain Eldon Kirkconnell, who recently passed away: “He served on our Board of Directors for many years and was a stalwart amongst our board,” Mr. Cuff said.
Everyone who came was given a raffle ticket, and there were some very nice raffle prizes including Lexmark printer and copier, a top-of-the-range golf bag, and a UPS battery backup.
