OfReg kicks off BE INFORMED series

Representatives from the Cayman Islands Utility Regulation and Competition Office (OfReg) kicked off the Chamber’s BE INFORMED series by providing members and guests with a detailed overview of their work and their current challenges. OfReg was established in 2016 and its main functions are to promote effective and fair competition in the energy, fuel, and IT sectors, to protect the short-and long-term interests of consumers in relation to utilities services and to promote innovation and facilitating economic and national development. 

Peter Gough, OfReg interim CEO, introduced the senior management team which includes Gregg Anderson, Executive Director (Energy & Water), Duke Munroe, Executive Director (Fuels) and Sonji Miles, Executive Director (ICT). OfReg’s wide ranging functions is of keen interest to Chamber members who are reporting supply chain challenges and the impact of increasing costs on their businesses.
