Past President Burns Conolly, AIA passes away on Wednesday, 1st September 2021
It is with tremendous sadness that we share the news of the passing of Past Chamber President Burns Conolly, AIA.
Burns was a tremendous visionary leader in the development industry and worked on some of Cayman’s largest development projects. He was among the first qualified architects in the Cayman Islands. He served as Chamber President from 2001-2002 during some of the most challenging times when the world and the Cayman Islands were coping with the terrible tragedy of 9/11.
His dad, Warren Conolly, was a founding member of the Chamber of Commerce and his mother, Islay, was the recipient of the Chamber’s Lifetime Achievement in Education Award.
Burns will be missed by the Chamber family and many in our community.
May his soul rest in peace. Details about funeral arrangements will be shared in the days ahead.
