Trade Mission To Panama Planned

Establishing different trade routes is vital for Cayman’s ongoing success and resiliency. Cayman Airways recently opened a direct flight to Panama which opens opportunities for trade. President Nelson Dilbert and CEO Wil Pineau joined the CAL and government delegates last month and used the trip to connect with the American Chamber of Commerce in Panama to discuss a future trade mission. The Chamber established relationships with various businesses in Panama during four trade missions in the mid-2000s when CAL first opened the route. Several members travelled on these missions and created new trade links which for some continue to flourish. The Chamber intends to arrange a future trade mission and is appealing to members who may be interested to contact if interested. The trade mission package will include admission to the Expocomer Trade Show hosted by the Panama Chamber of Commerce, a trip to the Free Trade Zone, visit to the Panama Canal, transportation, hotel accommodations and welcome reception. If you are interested in attending, please contact Wil Pineau at 743-9122 or
