Updated Sanitization Guidelines for Tourism Sector Now Available on DOT Website
The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism collaborated with Ministry of Health, Department of Environmental Health and private sector stakeholders to develop updated sanitization guidelines for the tourism sector.
Guidelines are based on CARPHA (2020), Caribbean Public Health Agency Technical Guidance: COVID-19 Series and using principles of international health entities, such as Public Health England.
Guidelines are now available for accommodations (hotels and guesthouses & apartments), attractions, car rentals, restaurants and bars, retail, taxi and public transport, tour operators, fishing and snorkelling, and scuba diving.
Guidelines for large events will be incorporated into a national policy that will be released in the coming days. The Lateral Flow Testing (LFT) policy for the tourism sector will be released this week.
These guidelines are intended to be a working document for business to enhance and customize to their specific operation.
Sanitization guidelines can be found here.
